SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School students, teachers, administrators, and alumni gathered in the multi-purpose room for a special SPFHS Hall of Fame induction for longtime teacher David A. Multer, who was inducted posthumously on Tuesday, Dec.17, 2019.

Mr. Multer was an alumnus of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School (Class of 1970) and a beloved teacher for more than four decades at his alma mater.

Presenters spoke of his humor, his love of the New York Yankees, and his knowledge of, well, just about everything related to history and politics

"The lessons I learned from him inspired me to go into the field I'm now in," said Tom Strowe, who now serves as Scotch Plains Coordinator for Downtown Redevelopment. "He was a great teacher."
