SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The field will be down to four at the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education (BOE) candidates forum on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m. following the withdrawal of Sean Keagan Foley.

Foley, a psychotherapist at Resolve Community Counseling Center and Executive Director at Union County Young Democrats, announced his decision via the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Neighbors Facebook page on Monday afternoon.

Hi everyone, just want to let you know that due to personal reasons, I am going to withdraw as a candidate for Scotch Plains BOE. Unfortunately, at this time I would not be able to execute the position at the level needed of a board member. I wish nothing but the best for the district; the board members, faculty, students, and community as a whole. I will be rooting for its continued success.
