SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School (SPFHS) Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 41 new members on Thurs, Dec. 12, 2019.

The criteria for membership is rigorous. Students with a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.75 and above, and in grades 11 and 12 are eligible to apply for membership. Students must also be able to demonstrate excellence in the areas of leadership, service and character.

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. The SPFHS students will be working around the community this year conducting a variety of individual service projects as well as a group service project scheduled later in the academic year.
