EDISON, NJ -- The Middle School at The Wardlaw+Hartridge School in Edison kicked off its 2019-2020 elective program on Monday, Sept. 23. This year's program, which includes nine interesting options, will take place during the school day on alternating Mondays and run for the entire school year.
This year's elective lineup includes some new programs, including Student Government and Publications with faculty advisor Kirstin Rogers. Members of Student Government lead the division through planning full division activities including service learning, fundraising, Middle School Nights (dances, talent shows, and more), Full Division meetings, as well as writing and publishing the divisional newspaper and literary magazine, The Hyphen.
Other new electives include Future Cities STEM Challenge (pictured), Website Design, Screenwriting and Filmmaking and Fitness and Fun with Mike Romeo. Robotics, Art Appreciation, Chess and the National Geography Bee and Academic Quiz Tournament round out the elective roster.
