EDISON, NJ -- Vanessa Fang of Edison, Sophia Fontaine of Somerville and Luke Tan of Edison, Middle School students at The Wardlaw+Hartridge School in Edison, performed with the CJMEA Intermediate Region Bands on March 1 at Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School. Approximately 160 out of 800 students who auditioned were accepted for this prestigious opportunity to rehearse and perform with other high level young musicians through the tutelage of renowned band directors Scott Collins of West-Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District and Cheryl Floyd, Yamaha Master Educator and former Director of Bands at Hill Country Middle School in Austin, Texas. 

During the performance, Luke was recognized for being accepted into Region Band all three years as a middle school student. The students performed an exciting program highlighted by music from Lord of the Rings and a beautiful rendition of Shenandoah by renowned band composer and arranger Frank Ticheli.
