EDISON, NJ -- To recognize the United Nations' humanitarian efforts and to celebrate the rich heritage of the families at The Wardlaw+Hartridge School in Edison, the second grade classes held their annual United Nations Day Luncheon on Oct. 25.

Leading up to the special event, the students learned about the history of the organization as well as the various services it provides to needy people all over the world. Surrounded by decorations displaying flags from different countries, the children feasted on a buffet of dishes based on their families' ancestry. India, China, Ireland and Greece were just a few of the many countries represented on the menu.
