SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Scotch Plains Democratic and Republican candidates for November’s municipal elections were filed on Monday, April 2. Three seats on the Scotch Plains Council will be contested in 2018. 

The Democrats have nominated:

  • Joshua G. Losardo, an attorney who has also served on the JCC's physical fitness committee
  • Elizabeth C. Stamler, who is employed by Union County as an assistant superintendent of weights and measures
  • Roshan "Roc" White, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Gulf War and a member of the United Association of Plumbers Local Union 24

The Republicans have nominated:

  • Andrew Bondarowicz, who serves as president of the Scotch Plains Fanwood Soccer Association
  • Sonali Dalvi, an alternate on the Scotch Plains Planning Board
  • Jeff Kowalczyk of Connections Personnel in Scotch Plains
