FANWOOD, NJ – Rocko’s Ice Cream (38 S. Martine Ave.) celebrates its third anniversary in downtown Fanwood on Tuesday, July 1, with a BOGO (buy one-get one free) promotion on deal on all slushees and soft serve ice cream. (Use code: SUNFLOWER at the register.)

Rocko's has established itself as a go-to destination for everyday treats, as well as special occasions such as birthday parties, post-game sports team celebrations, and fundraising events. The ice cream store partners with other eateries on the block to put together pizza-and-ice cream parties with Nick's Pizza and/or hot dog-and-ice-cream parties with The Fanwood Grille for individuals, families, sports teams, and others. On Tuesday, July 1, Rocko's will celebrate its own special occasion: its third anniversary.

"I think being a part of the community is the most fun part of working at Rocko’s," said co-owner Brandon Watterson. "We are always having team and birthday parties; the kids and parents really enjoy them."

For those looking for hard ice cream, Rocko’s offers more than 30 flavors, including new favorites such as Chocoholic (pure chocolate indulgence), Nutty Monkey (banana ice cream with peanut butter and chocolate), and Huckleberry. Rocko's also makes customized ice cream cakes for any occasion.

In addition serving hard and soft serve ice cream, Rocko's is the only place in Fanwood to get an authentic açaí bowl. Açaí (pronounced "Ah-Sigh-EE") bowls are made from pureed and chilled açaí berries from  the Amazon rain forest. The bowls include toppings such as strawberries, bananas, raspberries, blueberries, mangos, honey and coconut and granola made at the Fanwood Grille.

"The açaí bowls are a huge hit since we introduced them," said Rob Watterson, co-owner of Rocko’s with his brother, Brandon.
