WESTFIELD, NJ — Expect a more “interactive” dining experience at Spice Bazaar Modern Indian Dining when the popular restaurant opens Monday in its new, larger location at 39 Elm St. downtown.

Spice Bazaar first opened in November 2017 in a small space on Quimby Street.

“Because of the tremendous response we received from our smaller location we decided to open up a space with a bigger location where we can also take reservations,” said Kanika Vij-Bakshi, who owns the restaurant with Simran Bakshi.

In their new space, which seats more than 70, the chefs at Spice Bazaar provide “tableside shows” with dishes such as its “chocolate ball smash.”

“It's a dramatic chocolate ball smashed on the table while the chef will curate the dessert tableside, using fresh ingredients,” Kanika Vij-Bakshi said.

Other menu items include guava oysters, pineapple avocado tacos and spiced pork ribs. Their all-you-can-eat thali lunch remains on the menu during weekday lunch. Weekend brunch will be added soon, the owners said.
