SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Patriots’ Path Council of the Boy Scouts of America honored six local citizens at the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Good Scout Awards Dinner on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at the Shackamaxon Country Club.
The honorees were: Cleveland Bowser, former Scouts BSA Troop 104 Scoutmaster; Elaine Coupe, Director of Community Outreach for St. Bartholomew Church in Scotch Plains; Steve Goldberg, financial advisor with Family Investors in Fanwood and Past President of the Fanwood-Scotch Plains Rotary Club; Lisa Mohn, owner of Apple Blossom Flower Shop and President of the Scotch Plains Business and Professional Association; John Mooney, Editor/Publisher of TAPintoSPF; and Chief Richard Trigo, Fanwood Police Chief.
The event chairman and master of ceremonies was Ed Bumiller, Patriots’ Path Council Executive Board Member. Proceeds benefit BSA programs, including support for inner city and special needs Scouts.
Scotch Plains and Fanwood are part of BSA's Watchung Mountain District of the Patriots’ Path Council, which serves over 16,000 youth throughout the communities of Morris, Middlesex, Somerset, Sussex, and Union Counties.
