FANWOOD, NJ -- The Fanwood police would like to remind those who have taken ornaments from the department's annual Giving Tree that donations are due on Friday, Dec. 6.

"This year, we have had a record number of people take the donation ornaments from the tree, and the deadline is looming," said Dianne Howarth, assistant to Chief Richard Trigo. "If you have an ornament and don't think you will be able to bring the donation in, please return it. We have a waiting list of people who were disappointed that they could not participate because the ornaments were all taken."

"It's a busy time of year. If you are not able to bring the gift, it's ok, but please bring the ornament back today so that we can reach out to someone who can do it. We want to make sure all of the kids get gifts," Howarth added.
