SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD, NJ -- On the morning of March 16th, Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School staff members found over 150 letters in their mailboxes from students, thanking them for all their hard work during the pandemic.

This was an effort orchestrated by the Student Guidance Committee (SGC), as we recognize that the pandemic has taken a toll on the teachers; they have had to create new ways to keep students involved while learning online and adjust their teaching structures to accommodate both the students at home and in school. These letters were collected and organized on March 15th by SGC members.

For the teachers who manage their time between their students and family (possibly with children of their own), for the teachers who were and still may be alone at home because of lockdown, trying to protect themselves and their loved ones, this is a gift from SGC and the student body to thank you for all the work that you have put into our education.
