The Education Enrichment Foundation (EEF) of Scotch Plains-Fanwood Taste of the Town and Educator Grant Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday, March 5, from 6:30 – 10 p.m. at The Italian American Club in Scotch Plains.  The EEF enhances the quality of education in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood school district by supporting student achievement and leadership, innovation in the classroom, and enhanced learning through technology.

We are pleased to announce that more than $10,000 in grants have been awarded by the EEF for 2020 – 2021, supporting ideas ranging from STEM to mindfulness and wellness.  All grant recipients will be celebrated at our March 5th Taste of the Town event.  Approximately 20 area restaurants will provide tastings from their menus, and gift certificates will be available through door prizes and our tricky tray for many additional local restaurants.  Our tricky tray will also feature a variety of other items including tickets to sporting events, activities such as cycling classes, and fun technology including a virtual reality headset.  The event is BYOB and will also feature a Wine Pull on location.

While this event is already sold out, donations to the EEF are greatly appreciated and will help fund all EEF programming, including LTC100, a 5th – 12th grade leadership training program, HackSPF, a beginners coding program for students, and grant awards for the 2021 – 2022 school year.  Future events include a spring Music Fest, featuring student musicians, and a fall Wine Tasting. The EEF Trustees are looking forward to a fun evening.
