FANWOOD, NJ -- Governor Phil Murphy will swear in Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr as she begins her record fifth term as mayor at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, at Borough Hall (75 North Martine Ave.).

Having the governor attend Fanwood's Reorganization Meeting has special meaning for the mayor as 2019 gives way to 2020.

"It was an honor for me to serve as President of the League of Municipalities, an organization comprised of all 565 municipalities in the state, this year," Mayor Mahr told TAPintoSPF. "In 2020, we will mark 100 years of women's suffrage and also 125 years of Fanwood's incorporation as a borough. We have a lot to look forward to in the year ahead."
