SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The April 1 Census Day event at the Scotch Plains Public Library is cancelled.
 
However, April 1 is still considered the key reference date to include everyone living in your household on your Census response.
 
As of today, 24.8% of Scotch Plains households have responded to the 2020 Census, which is higher than the statewide average of 18.1%.

"All households will receive their Census mailing by April 1 so please respond as soon as you get it," says Tom Strowe, who has spearheaded the Census effort in Scotch Plains with Mayor Al Smith. "Thank you, and let's get a Complete Count!"
