SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Leaf pick-up in Scotch Plains will begin the Week of October 28. Residents may begin to put their leaves out 10 days prior. A street by street schedule will be posted next week (Week of October 14) -- please check back for more details.
This collection is for leaves only, and crews will be dispatched on both the Northside and Southside of the Township. At least three collection cycles should give everyone adequate time to place all leaves at the curb. Please no branches or limbs, and remember to leave space along the curb for water to flow freely to the catch basins.
Biodegradable paper bags are acceptable. Please keep as many cars off the road as possible. Branches will not be collected. It is very important that leaves are free of branches, rocks, stumps, etc., to prevent equipment damage.
Weather permitting, sweepers will be operating after the last cycle.
