FANWOOD, NJ -- As a preventive measure against the COVID-19 virus, Chelsea Senior Living is now restricting all visitors from its 17 operational buildings in New Jersey and New York as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and various state agencies. This includes The Chelsea at Fanwood.
Visitors are not allowed at any Chelsea communities. Exceptions will be considered for extreme or emergency cases. Essential health care personnel will be permitted entry after appropriate screening.
"We have to act in the best interest of our residents and staff," said Roger Bernier, President and Chief Operating Officer of Chelsea Senior Living. "We understand this will pose an inconvenience to families and residents. We are asking everyone to please respect this restriction until further notice."
Chelsea management is meeting on a continuing basis to assess daily, even hourly changes in safety protocols in an effort to stop the spread of this disease, which is particularly dangerous to the population we serve.
