FANWOOD, NJ -- Mayor Colleen Mahr is inviting residents to Relax-Unwind-Rejuvenate as part of her Fanwood Women's Wellness Series.

"As a working mother of three boys and as mayor, life is hectic! I know I’m not alone please join me as I launch my Mayor's Wellness series on Saturday, Sept. 28," said Mayor Mahr. "Let’s create a community of sisters who can learn and lean on one another. Come alone or bring a friend!"

The series will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. and will feature Annette Ferrigno, LCSW, who will present Kids for Kids: A Mindfulness Movement with Pat Inlarp at the Dhammakya Center. Coffee, tea, sparkling beverages, and lite breakfast will be offered.

"As women, we face unique challenges as mothers, wives, sisters, friends, and caregivers in our daily lives. This event is for women of all ages to create a sense of community," said Mayor Mahr. "Together we will create a space where valuable guidance will be shared in order to lift one another up in our community."

"It's important that we, as women, take time to relax, unwind, and rejuvenate. That's why this initiative is so important," Mayor Mahr told TAPintoSPF. "Women are the caretakers of their families, but they often do not stop to take care of themselves. I hope they will take the opportunity to take advantage of this offering."

Attendees will leave with the basics of meditation, critical resources to continue your wellness path, fun swag bag with sample oils and healthy snacks, and a sense of belonging. To RSVP, contact Pat Hoynes phoynes@fanwoodnj.org
