SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Scotch Plains and Fanwood continues to rise.

Fanwood has a total of 47 confirmed cases. Yesterday, Fanwood had an additional loss: a 74-year old man with underlying conditions. This brings the Fanwood total to 5 deaths. 

"Our thoughts are with the entire community in this time of loss," said Mayor Colleen Mahr.

The number of Scotch Plains' positive test results has risen to 145, according to the township's NJ COVID-19 Dashboard, last updated on April 16, 2020.
