FANWOOD, NJ -- Wonder Woman, Spider*Man, Frankenstein and other monsters -- as well as runners not in Halloween-themed attire -- competed in the Fanwood Fright Fest 5K & Little Monsters Run on Sunday, Oct. 20. 

Robert Lynn, 36, of Scotch Plains was the overall winner with a time of 17:51:72 (a pace under 6-minutes), followed by Evan Weber, 12, of Fanwood (19:20:04), and Derek Wood, 32, of Scotch Plains (19:41:76). 

Sara Carlesimo, 35, of Fanwood had the fastest time (22:24:85) among the women, followed by Julia Flood, 14, of Fanwood (23:56:37), and Michelle Bressler, 41, of Scotch Plains (24:35:43).

The event featured a DJ, refreshments, and awards for the winners in the various age categories at Fanwood's La Grande Park.
