FANWOOD, NJ -- The annual Fanwood Police Giving Tree project was a big success this year. The community and members of the police department chipped in to contribute 75 toys that were distributed to kids at the Children's Specialized Hospital - Fanwood Plaza (313 South Ave., Fanwood).
"I want to thank everyone for participating this year," said Dianne Howarth, assistant to Fanwood Police Chief Richard Trigo.
Children's Specialized Hospital has provided rehabilitation for children with special needs for more than a century. It serves children affected by brain injury, spinal cord dysfunction and injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life-changing illnesses. Children's Specialized has eight sites in New Jersey and treats children from across the state and the country.
