FANWOOD, NJ -- The Fanwood police department celebrated the promotions of three officers to the rank of sergeant on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021. Mayor Colleen Mahr administered the oath of office to the following three officers:

  • Officer Thomas Chisholm, who has been an officer with the Fanwood Police Department for nine years. Holding the bible for Sgt. Chisholm was his mother, Linda Chisholm, alongside his father, William Chisholm.
  • Officer Ryan Gilmore, who has been an officer with the Fanwood Police Department for nine years.. The bible was held by his wife, while his children and parents proudly stood alongside. Sgt Gilmore has been an officer with the Fanwood Police Department for nine years.
  • Officer Daniel Piccola, who has been with the Fanwood police for 6 ½ years. The bible was held by his girlfriend, and His dad, Fanwood Fire Chief John Piccola, his mother, Rose, and the rest of his family were in attendance. Many families in town know Sgt. Piccola as a volunteer coach for Scotch Plains-Fanwood PAL football.
