SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Scotch Plains police are looking for the driver of a car that struck a pedestrian on Rte. 22 West near Harding Road on Saturday, April 25, around 10:00 p.m. The vehicle fled the scene.

When police arrived, they found a semi-conscious 37-year-old male Scotch Plains resident who suffered a head injury. The Scotch Plains Fire Department responded, and The Mountainside Rescue Squad and Atlantic Medic One transported the victim to Morristown Memorial Hospital.

Sgt. Gerry Brown and Detectives Shawn Johnson and Rob Lewis responded to the scene. The incident is under investigation, and anyone with information  about this hit-and-run incident is encouraged to contact Sgt. Brown at (908) 322-7100 ext. 104.
