FANWOOD, NJ -- Fanwood’s National Night Out at LaGrande Park was sponsored by the Fanwood Police Dept, Fire Dept and Rescue Squad.

The event featured free hot dogs, ice pops, popcorn and beverages, bounce house and giant slide, games, face painting, and giveaways, including two bicycles donated by the local PBA.

"This event helps us foster relationships with the community - especially our young people," Fanwood Police Chief Richard Trigo told the crowd,.

Police officers, firefighters and rescue squad members gave tours of their equipment and hosted all the games and concessions. The Union County Prosecutor’s Office also had a table. Mayor Colleen Mahr and Councilman Jeff Banks were in attendance.
