SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Members of the Scotch Plains Police Department hosted the Township's annual National Night Out event at the Alan Augustine Green in downtown Scotch Plains on Tuesday, Aug. 6. 

Among the attendees were Scotch Planis Police Chief Ted Conley, who acted as emcee, Mayor Al Smith, Township Manager Al Mirabella, Councilman Ted Spera, Councilwoman Elizabeth Stamler. Assemblywoman Linda Carter, comedian Mike Marino, SPFHS football caoch Austin Holman, and Batman. Also present were members of the Scotch Plains Police Department, Fire Department and Rescue Squad. 

The annual National Night Out is an event designed to foster good relationships between the police and members of the public.
