SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Scotch Plains welcomed in its two newest firefighters, Ryan Edwish and Sean Biglin, as Mayor Al Smith swore them in at the Tuesday, Aug. 13 Township Council meeting.

Ryan Edwish, who recently moved to town, and previously served with the Rockaway (NJ) Fire Department. SPFD fire chief John Lestarchick said that he recruited Edwish at the Scotch Plains Fire Department's 150th anniversary celebration this year. 

Sean Biglin follows in the footsteps of his dad, Battalion Chief Dan Biglin, of the Scotch Plains Fire Department.

"We are on a good trend and bringing them in," Lestarchick said.
