EDISON, NJ -- The Scotch Plains - Fanwood 7U Baseball Team will play in the Travel Summer League Championship Game on Tuesday vs. Edison at Sutton's Lane Park in Edison.

The 11-player team has been playing together since March of this year and quickly come together to build a cohesive team that entered tournament play as a #5 seed. In the Summer League Tournament they beat Bridgewater 13-0 in Bridgewater and Hillsborough 13-3 in Hillsborough. The team has scored 39 runs over their last 3 games.

The win against Hillsborough was an epic event as Hillsborough was the #1 one seed in the tournament having only given up 9 runs total during the summer season. The 7U Raiders came out swinging the bats early and often. The team also made amazing plays in the field. Vincent Grande came onto the mound to pitch two scoreless innings and securing the win.
