WESTFIELD, NJ -- Westfield's Holden Grantz gave up just two hits and one run while striking out four to ruin Scotch Plains-Fanwood's Alex Smith's gem, as the Blue Devils downed the Raiders, 2-1, on Monday. The win snapped Westfield's four-game losing streak. 

Smith, a senior, gave up seven hits and two runs while striking out five in 6 innings of work. 

Christopher Ho went 2-for-3 with a single, a double, and an RBI for Westfield. Matthew Melao also went 2-for-3 with two singles.

Sean Kennedy and Dallas Lorenzetti had the two hits for the Raiders. 

Scotch Plains-Fanwood (2-4) next plays at Middlesex on Wednesday, May 5. Westfield takes on Elizabeth on Tuesday, May 4.
