HILLSIDE, N.J -- The Union Catholic boys soccer team exploded for six goals on Thursday to win its first game of the season, 6-1 over Hillside.
The Vikings, which had just one goal in its first two of the games of the season, received goals from six different players to improve to 1-1-1 on the season.
Union Catholic's goal scorers were Daniel Mota, Julien Pereira, Steven Traczik, Jon DiDario, Nick Janusz, and Ted Amo (penalty kick).
Goalie Justin Couto made five saves for the Vikings.
UC will be back in action on Saturday at 2 p.m. vs. Brearley at home. The J.V. game is scheduled for 12 p.m.
