SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood boys swim team started of 2020 off with a strong performance over the New Year with a win over New Providence, 105-64, at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) on Monday, Jan.6.

"We mixed things up, and let people swim different things," Raiders Coach Jess Hulnik said after the meet. "Michael DePaola swam very fast today. He may be our most improved swimmer this year among the boys."

"Floyd Conlin has been incredibly consistent," said New Providence boys swim coach Brian Cooper. "He gives you 110 percent even if he just gave it to you. He gives his all. Sometimes he's barely out of the pool, and then he gets back in again. The word to describe him: Toughness."
