SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Scotch Plains-Fanwood field hockey played another overtime thriller on Thursday against highly regarded Millburn, but lost in Overtime, 201.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood struck first and went into halftime up 1-0, thanks to a goal scored by Cassidy Novello off a pass from Erin Lay.

Millburn came back strong in the second half and scored with 7 minutes remaining in the game to knot it at 1-1.

"Despite the loss, it was one of the best games the Raiders have played," said Coach Allie Neidig. "To take a team into overtime who had previously beat teams we play by 7 or 8 goals was a huge accomplishment for us. Millburn is a fantastic program in the division above us."
