SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood girls varsity soccer team is off to another winning start as the Raiders defeated Bayonne, 4-0, on Friday at soggy Wexler Field. 

The team had a balanced attack as Leah Klurman, Corinne Lyght, Holly Nelson, and Rachel Schoss all but the ball in the back of the net, while Lizzie Ley, Giorgi Vacca and Faith Price had assists.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood dominated possession time and out-shot Bayonne, 11-4.

Last season, the girls had Raiders had a record of 14-5-1 and won the Union County Tournament (UCT) , and made it to the semifinals in the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 bracket.
