SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ --The Scotch Plains-Fanwood girls swim team knew it would be a challenge to take on Summit, which handily defeated the Raiders, 108-62, on Friday, Jan. 17 at the Summit YMCA.

"Summit has a strong group of girls, and they showed up today to make a statement," said Scotch Plains-Fanwood Coach Jess Hulnik. "Their freshmen girls from last year have really progressed."

Dagny Donaldson won the 200 and 500 Freestyle individual races. Caitlin Fagan won the 100 Butterfly and swam on the winning Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay. Emma Claus won the 100 Breaststroke and swam on the winning Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay.

"Dagny Donaldson did a great job in all of her events, including the 500 Freestyle. Cecilia Webb also had a great meet," said first-year Summit Coach Erin Fogarty after the meet. "This is one that they will remember."
