SCOTCH PLAINS -- The Union Catholic girls tennis team came up with a very impressive victory on Wednesday when the Vikings defeated Roselle Park, 4-1, at Kramer Manor Park.

UC, now 2-3 on the season, also defeated Roselle Park in the season opener on Oct. 1 by a score of 3-2.

UC swept the singles matches as Ellie Pickel and Annie Hartnett won in straight sets, and Arianna Cloppse won the third set at third singles, 6-4, to secure the victory. The Vikings also picked up a straight sets victory from Kate Hall and Juliana Rama at first doubles.

The Vikings will be back in action on Thursday when they host Plainfield at 4 p.m. on Senior Day.
