SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood bowling team is undefeated after four matches, and one of the big reasons has been the performance of junior James Middleton, who started bowling during his freshman year.
"During the off season he switched to the two-handed bowling method. This technique creates more revolutions on the bowling ball as it travels down the lane and is a more powerful shot when it hits the pocket creating a lot of pin action," said Coach Ryan Goracy. "James is an excellent teammate and is willing to help the lesser experienced bowlers on the team with their form."
Middleton leads the team in average (202) and has been the Raiders' most consistent bowler, according to Coach Gracy. His performance has led the team to its current 4-0 record with wins over Cranford, Union, A.L. Johnson (Clark, NJ), and Union Catholic.
