SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains Fanwood PAL football teams posted four big victories this past weekend.

  • The B team Raiders (7th grade) threw a shutout against host Berkeley Heights, 16-0.
  • The C team Raiders (6th grade) knocked off host Parsippany, 20-7.
  • The Raiders D team (5th grade) scored a 27-0 triumph over Somerset Hills at Bernards High School.
  • The E team Raiders (4th grade) trimmed home-team Parsiappany, 8-6.

The Scotch Plains Fanwood PAL A team (8th grade) fell to host Parsippany, 39-13, while the third grade Raiders were defeated by Somerville/Branchburg, 28-0, at Scotch Plains Fanwood High School.

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Police Athletic League (PAL) was founded in 1991 as a volunteer organization. It aims to develop a friendly relationship between youngster and police officers and a spirit of respect for the law. The PAL emphasizes skill development, personal growth, and fun for for pre-high school boys and girls from both Scotch Plains and Fanwood.
