ROSELLE, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School boys hockey team paid tribute to its 10 graduating seniors during a ceremony held prior to a contest against division rival Verona on Wednesday, Jan 29, at Warinanco Rink in Roselle. The seniors are:

  • Ryan Ciarrocca (5), Forward
  • Ryan Dayton (28), Forward
  • Colin Fitzgerald (9), Forward
  • Ryan Lamberta (39), Goalie
  • David Lenart (2), Forward
  • Ryan Montagna (7), Forward
  • Brian Noonan (18), Defense
  • Kyle Remo (20), Forward
  • Noah Staple (6), Forward
  • Chris Wolmelsdorf (24) Forward

Prior to the content, players presented flowers to their moms and then escorted their parents onto the ice for photos under banners made in each player's honor.

The game itself was a lopsided affair, as Verona defeated the Raiders, 9-1, with five goals coming from the stick of Rowan Brennan. Anthony Tittanegro's first period goal for Scotch Plains-Fanwood prevented the game from being a shutout. Raiders goalie Ryan Lamberta made 36 saves.
