BRANCHBURG, NJ -- The Fanwood Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) swim team hosted its 24th annual First Frost meet at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg NJ, on Sunday, Nov. 10. 

This popular meet is for 12 and Unders with over 400 swimmers and 9 YMCA teams in attendance. Congratulations to meet directors, Glenn Falkowski and Mary Perreault for leading a successful event. The event would not be possible without all the hard-working FSPY parent volunteers and 13 and over swimmers who helped with various assignments including timing, writing, marshalling and handing out heat winner ribbons.

For the 8U 100 Free Relay, the girls (Sage Isleta, S. Lin, Begarney, Keeler) took 2nd while the boys (Yip, Austin Briamonte, Rodriguez, Jayden Le) took 3rd place.

In the 9-10 100 Free Relay, the girls relay team of Sophie Isleta, Yu, Jiang, DeGennaro took 1st. The boys relay team of C. Scarpa, Zeng, Ben Zhou and Michaels touched 1st while the relay team of  Gould, Achi Balakrishnan, Alex Holston and Sayani placed 3rd.

In the 11-12 200 Free Relay, the team of  Kim, Ying Chow, Kaplan and Cadigan took first while the relay team of  Trenery, Kerr, Yu and Lee touched 3rd.

The meet was capped off with 11-12 boys sweeping the 200 Free relay by taking 1st (Frank, C. Calderone, B. Calderone, Liu), 2nd (Harrison McClure, Stanik, Brody Linenberg, Espiritu), and 3rd (Matt Iannotta, Zac McGeehan, Moose, Gulbin) respectively.
