WESTFIELD, NJ — Around 7:00 a.m. Sunday, a stolen car left the roadway and crashed on the 1200 block of Central Avenue, according to Westfield Police Chief David Wayman. Four males exited the vehicle and fled on foot, he said.

The car was not being pursued by police at the time, he said.

“Police arrived and the vehicle ended up being stolen out of Manalapan,” Wayman said. “Subsequently, three males from Newark have been apprehended.”

Police are still searching for the fourth person, a black male, and conducting an investigation, he said. He urged anyone who sees someone suspicious to call police.
