SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Milling and paving work will begin on Monday, April 17 on Academy Street from South Orange Ave. to Massel Terrace, as part of the "Academy Street Road Improvements - Phase 1," according to the update SouthOrange.org website.
Work is expected to take one week, and to take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting stated the SouthOrange.org website.
The update also stated that during this time, driveway access will be limited, and residents will not be able to gain access to their driveways until after 5 p.m. "If you need your car during these days, please relocate them to an adjacent street prior to 7 a.m. The asphalt needs time to cure and cannot be driven on for about an hour after rolled and compacted," stated the website upate.
