WARREN, NJ - Columbia lost to top-seeded Watchung Hills 1-9 on Thursday, May 26, in the quarterfinals of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 tournament. 
 
Brian Reiss won his tenth game for Watchung Hills, allowing just four hits over six innings with an earned run, no walks, and two strikeouts.
 
 
John Port had two doubles with three RBI, Brandon Hylton added two RBI with a run, and Chris Roth had two RBI and two runs for Watchung Hills.
 
Head coach of Watchung Hills Joe Tremarco said, "Proud of the way our guys didn't get too high or too low....we maintained our composure throughout and just played Hustlin' Warrior Baseball! Our seniors stepped up all over the field...Port at bat, Simon on the bases to spark us, Reiss and Lombardo on the mound, and our defense making plays!"

 
Watchung Hills is now 26-4 on the season and will host Tuesday's semifinals against the winner of Thursday's quarterfinal game between Scotch Plains-Fanwood and Millburn.
 
Columbia ends their season with a 16-10 record.
