BLOOMFIELD, NJ -- In a game that was close throughout, the Columbia boys basketball team made the big plays down the stretch and came away with a 53-48 victory over Bloomfield on the road Tuesday night.

Senio guard Dylan Jones scored 16 points, grabbed five rebounds and handed out three assists for Columbia (6-3), which led, 25-21, at the half after a 17-12 showing in the second quarter.

Sophomore guard Nigel Garcia scored 10 points and led the Cougars with nine assists and two steals. Marques Thompkins finished with nine points and seven rebounds, and Jun Harrington had nine points and four rebounds in the victory.
