MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The Columbia boys basketball team established a seven-point lead in the first quarter and went on to post a 55-41 victory over Seton Hall Prep on Tuesday night.
Forward Josiah Lawful dominated the inside for the Cougars with 17 rebounds and seven blocked shots to go with 12 points.
Nigel Garcia scored 14 points for Columbia (7-4), which pulled away with a 14-7 showing in the fourth quarter. Andrew Rowley had 13 points, eight rebounds and three assists, and Chris Darcelin totaled 10 points and six rebounds for Columbia.
Nick Dunneman finished with 19 points and six rebounds for Seton Hall Prep (6-2).
