MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The Columbia boys soccer team, playing for the first time in 16 days, came up with its first victory of the season Wednesday night.

Robin Kalderen scored the only goal in the second half as the Cougars defeated Cedar Grove, 1-0, on Senior Night.

Columbia (1-2) last played on Oct. 5. Its season, which already began late due to the NJSIAA's reconfiguring of the season, was interrupted for more than two weeks to comply with COVID-19 quarantine protocol.
