SUMMIT, NJ - An event that is created by and for high school students, Bridges Outreach, will hold its 8th Annual "Teens Tackle Homelessness" Conference on March 4 at Kent Place School in Summit.
Speakers will include teens from Covenant House and the Emergency Residency Program at the Newark YMCA who have experienced homelessness. In addition, interactive workshops will illustrate what life is like for people who don't have a place to call home. The young people's stories are -- at face-value -- impactful, and likely to affect attendees' perspective on who is homeless and why.
The "Teens Tackle Homelessness" Conference will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., with admission free with advance registration; $10 at the door. To register, visit bridgesoutreach.org. The event is for high school students only. For more information, contact Patrick Davis, Director of Operations, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kent Place School is located at 42 Norwood Avenue in Summit.
