Class Act Performing Arts Studio’s senior Musical Theatre Company members will perform “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” Thursday, May 10th , 2018 through Sunday, May 13th, 2018 at the South Orange Performing Arts Center.

Set in 19th-century London, this thrilling musical tells the story of barber Benjamin Barker, now known by his alias, Sweeney Todd, and his plot to seek revenge on the judge who exiled him for 15 years. When bloodthirsty Sweeney joins forces with failing pie shop proprietress, Mrs. Lovett, the two introduce a new, ingredient to Lovett’s meat pies that sends the people of London straight to the shop — and new victims to Sweeney’s barber chair.

Class Acts Performing Arts Studio’s executive producer and founding director, Page O’Connor, says, “Come see why “Sweeney Todd” is deemed a true musical thriller and is frequently mentioned as Sondheim’s most perfect score.  I could not be more proud of these very talented kids for taking on such a difficult and mature production.  They really do ‘kill’ it!”
