MAPLEWOOD, NJ - An email from the Township of Maplewood outlined an upcoming community event from the Maplewood Police Department, "Coffee with a Cop."
This informal community meeting for police officers and residents will be the first "Coffee with a Cop" event in Maplewood, and will be held on Wednesday, September 30, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Prospect Presbyterian Church (646 Prospect St., Maplewood).
As outlined in the email, "the basic goal of the meeting is simply to provide an opportunity for residents to meet several of our police officers in a relaxed atmosphere in order to build relationships." There will also be crime prevention materials available at the meeting.
The event will have coffee and light refreshments.
