MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Columbia High School girls lacrosse was defeated by Sparta High School on Friday, April 15, with a final score of 20-8 on Columbia's field.
Columbia's eight goals were scored by Kate O'Connell, who made three, Finley Kemp with two, and Jasmine West, Anna Torrey, and Lauren Lake, each scoring once. Caroline Sekel and Alaina Boccino each had an assist.
Madison-Bailey Felton, Columbia's goalie, made five saves.
Alex Curran led Sparta's team with seven goals and an assist. Kaitlin Mead and Julianna McGuire each scored four, and McGuire got an assist as well. Sparta's Jackie Hallack found the net three times, and Bayleigh Takacs added two more to the total. Madison Levinson was in net for Sparta stopping five Columbia attempts.
The next Columbia High School girls lacrosse game is on Monday, April 18, at 4:30 p.m. at Morristown High School in Morristown.
