MONTCLAIR, NJ - Danny Boehmer pitched a complete-game one-hitter to send the Columbia varsity baseball team to a 9-0 victory over Montclair-Kimberley Academy on Thursday afternoon.

Boehmer did not walk a single batter and struck out seven. He got plenty of offensive support from Cougar teammates Ryan Murphy, who was 3-for-5 with a solo home run, and Anthony Starzynski, who also went 3-for-5 with an RBI.

Columbia started fast with four runs in the top of the first inning. Peter Nolet finished with two hits in four at-bats for the Cougars, who are 2-0.
