MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Summer concerts at the Springfield Avenue Gazebo in Maplewood begin on Friday, July 17. All concerts are free and open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and to relax and enjoy the music.

Concerts will feature a wide range of musical styles including rock, R&B, and jazz. While all shows are family-friendly, there will also be two Saturday morning performances for kids.

  • Friday, July 17 at 7 p.m.: The Tim Bason Trio, traditional jazz
  • Friday, July 24 at 7 p.m.: Queen Blue Nile, fusion of Soul, R&B, Funk and Blues
  • Saturday, August 1 at 11 a.m.: Big Jeff and Starfish, family fun from two local performers
  • Saturday, August 15 at 11 a.m.: Music for Aardvarks, fun sing-a-long for toddlers and kids
  • Friday, August 28 at 7 p.m.: Deena and the Laughing Boys/Sad About Girls, alt country 'n indie pop, with a "wink and a twinkle and some ESP"
  • Friday, September 11, 7 p.m.: Mood Ring Jam Band

The Springfield Avenue Gazebo is located at 1688 Springfield Avenue, next to the Hilton Library.
